The International Student Visit


The school day course offerings fulfills the full immersion purpose of the visiting students desire to practice their English in a real-time education setting with American students.

 

School Participation & Program Support

  • Students are divided into small groups and placed in day-to-day regular classrooms to observe and participate in class curriculum activities whenever possible.
  • The school daily schedule for this program is 8:00am to 12noon or 8:00am to 3:00pm.
    • These schedules are anticipates approximate times.
    • Determination of actual scheduled times will vary depending on the school’s start time, lunch, and dismissal.
  • Instructor will need to select some of their students to pair with visiting students to interact with during the class when appropriate.
  • A student chaperone (teacher from the homeland) will be in the classroom to observe and assist with their students.
    • This ensures that the visiting students have an interpreter available and that student participation is encouraged as possible.
  • There is no additional requirement of the classroom instructor to alter or change their scheduled daily lesson plan.
